WELCOME TO  NORTH EAST ADHD ADVICE & SUPPORT  WEBSITE !

We are a voluntary organisation that offers support to those with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and their families in the County Durham area.

As the support group has received so much interest we are starting a Social Enterprise non profit advice & support network for people with ADHD.

We will be offering advice & support for anyone effected by ADHD, parents/carers, adults with ADHD, young people & children.

I have trained with our local Citizens Advice I can offer support with benefits, employment, training,, schools, Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service(CAHMS) family life & any other support you may require.

We will offer our clients a range of options to suit their needs, an office appointment, home visits or out reach at a location close to the client.

Appointments do not need to be between 9-5 we will work outside normal hours to accomodate the client to ensure we give the best support and advice possible.

We offer our service across the North East of England. We will have an office but work mobile.

Our monthly meetings will continue as normal and may set up new groups in various locations across the region.

North East ADHD Advice & Support is run by myself Mrs Nicola Minnes &  Miss Libby Minnes. I am a parent of an ADHD child also volunteer with my local CAB and Libby is a qualified teacher and Parenting Magic 123 practitioner.

Including clients &  young people within our organisation is important to us; they are our future and have every right to be treated with respect and dignity. Their input and contributions as to how the organisation is run is very, very important to the North East ADHD Advice & Support. Our aim is to provide a client lead service putting in place a valuable client focused service.

The next ADHD parent support meeting is on the April 26th 2012 at 630 at Greenfield Community Arts College.
